The York County Scooter Club

We are a group of scooter enthusiast from York County, PA, who enjoy riding through the back roads of central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. We ride different makes and models of scooters. We're a mix of all age groups and experience levels ranging from new riders to riders returning to the scooter after an absence to riders with over 40 years of riding experience.

The club encourages riding in a safe manner at all times. This includes riding the posted speed limits and no drinking, or drugs.

Over the years the club has taken rides down Sky Line Drive and to the Deals Gap Tour, Liberty NY and Cincinnati OH.  Last year rides included trips to see; “Falling Water” a house designed by the well-known Frank Lloyd Wright; United 93, a memorial dedicated to the victims killed on 9-11-01: and to Longwood Gardens for a day of walking through the gardens once owned by the Dupont Family.

Rides being planned for the summer of 2012 include a 3 day trip to visit Niagara Falls, NY, a camping weekend at Raystown Lake, and several day rides including Harpers Ferry, Gettysburg and Centralia PA. As well as a number of ice cream eateries are in the making. All Club events are listed under the ‘Calendar’ button on the site’s web page menu.

In addition to the planned Club rides, the Club participates in several local scooter rallies such as TMI’s Meltdown and the ‘New Holland Mid-Atlantic Scooter Rally.’

Club meetings are held the first Monday of each month where we share information, socialize, and plan group scooter rides and other events. Topics can range from a tune up on our safety driving, to review of an upcoming ride, or a “how to” install one’s new gizmo for the scooter.
